Mundane Thursday Diary Post

So today is like a mega diary post. Please skip it if you're not interested in very, very mundane details about my life.

This morning I decided to carry on with a project I started quite a while ago. It's a short comic for a zine about a girl and a rabbit.

Doing it all by hand is very slow going but totally worth it, even with the many ink-bleeding accidents which occur. Then my mum came back from the supermarket with really nice food and I had this awesome lunch. I have no idea if this is nutritionally good for you and have never counted calories in my life but it looked pretty and tasted v nice, which is really what matters.

Today I've been listening to (amongst lots of other things), Lipstick Covered Magnet by The Front Bottoms. They're probably my favorite band at the moment, I have a weakness for acoustic guitars. I also, for the first time, listened to this Crywank album (which then took me to starry cat, Julia Brown and an endless stream of youtube music). Crywank has very melancholy and somewhat self pitying vibes but made me weirdly productive. So I organised my shirts.

And my tights.

What can I say? I'm a 16 year old middle aged housewife or something. Breaking all the rules. By this time I've absolutely reached my productivity limit for the day and am playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf, where the sky isn't quite as grey as in real life. Here I investigated the new museum extension which I don't fully understand just yet but I'll absolutely get there soon. For sure.

Ooh, also I finally got round to ordering shirts and fabric paint for a t-shirt swap I'm doing with Flo!

Whew, that concludes today's post. I promise not every diary post I do will be as long as this, I think having a functioning blog is turning me into someone who does actual things with their life which can only be good?

Hope my two readers had lovely days too < 3 -Julia

Outfit: Woodland Vibes

So today I decided it was time to do an ~outfit post~, because of all the days of the week I tend to dress best on Wednesdays. This is probably because I have college from 1 until 5 this afternoon, meaning I have time to put together nice clothes in the morning and time to actually get out (which is a huge incentive for getting dressed) later.

I tend to pick my clothes like "wow I feel witchy today" or "wow I feel like dancing through a forest today". This day is the latter.

So today I wore

-Primark fox tights (so many people have said they like these and I totally agree; they are brilliant and comfy too).
-Skirt bought from H&M and adjusted to fit my waist.
-Vintage velvet jacket, you can't see it in the photo but it has this awesome puffy collar. Found in my grandma's wardrobe and lovingly stolen allowed to wear.
-Worn out purple Doc Martens- again, not in the photo (I'm new to this!) and probably because I own very few pairs of shoes and they are the comfiest. Gotta wear comfy things.
-Khaki t-shirt with three quarter length sleeves.
-Scarf (which I've had for a very long time), I'm actually not sure where it came from but they're not hard to come by.

I did also take photos of the top but they didn't turn out too well sadly! It's a start for a first outfit post, anyway. Hope you all had a rad Wednesday. I was actually thinking "Hmmm, woman crush wednesday?" but didn't get round to it this week. Sometime soon though for sure! -Julia

P.s. Today I am listening to Air - Alone in Kyoto. It's v pretty and has calm vibes.

Blue

All the forget-me-nots are out at the moment, our garden is so full of them. So, I present to you, an appreciation post for pretty blue things.

Forget-me-nots in my front garden.

Marcellus looking v pretty in the car. Marcellus is a Irregular Choice tiger bag, falling apart slightly but still absolutely brilliant.
Pale blue walls and a window above a door at the house my mum is working on.
Lastly of this weeks blue photos (so far, it has been a very blue week) is the sky through the window at college this morning. I thought it looked like a scene from a Studio Ghibli film.

I am listening to Schizophrenia by Sonic Youth right now.

Hope you enjoyed all this blue. -Julia

Welcome!

Hi everyone. I got a little bored of having specific blogs about specific things and not having a space to post about rad things like outfits I like and pretty skies and other things, so this is for that. I go by Cannipig almost everywhere else and run a redbubble store under that name, too. Watch this space, it's about to get a lot prettier!

Plant vibes from Julia.
